Having a baby is a wonderful, life-changing event. It's a joyful time, but one that can be a bit overwhelming. The job of a postpartum doula is to smooth the transition when the new baby or babies arrive. The doula cares for mother and family during the first few weeks following baby's birth, educating, encouraging, and supporting parents through the transformation that a new baby brings to a family.
